A new do!

I know, I know, those of you reading this are saying, finally! I took Ben today to get his first real professional haircut. My mom has trimmed it some, but it was time for a professional one. I did buy some detangler recently and that has helped tremendously with his tangles. Needless to say, he did not enjoy it! He cried the whole time, but didn't really move too much, which made it a little easier.

Ben after the haircut still crying

The finished product!! As Ben says al the time: "Ta Da"

A Chattanooga Wedding!

Last weekend a sorority sister of mine got married in Chattanooga, TN, so Lee and I drove up early Saturday afternoon to get checked into our hotel and get ready for the night. It was a beautiful wedding and some of us went out in downtown Chattanooga after the reception. The next day, Lee and I headed up to Lookout Mountain. It was very rainy and really foggy, so we really didn't get to see much from the top of the mountain.

Sorority sisters and stickers!

Yesterday I met up with some of my sorority sisters for lunch at Mellow Mushroom. It was great to catch up. I got to meet my friend Chandra's new baby girl Madison. She is so cute! My friend Amy is expecting her baby boy in a couple of weeks. Noel and Missy were there too. I have not seen some of these girls in over 10 years. I even went to Noel's wedding and she said she has been married 15 years now! Missy and I did get together for lunch a few months ago and it was great to see her again. She brought stickers for all the kids, which was really nice! Jake loves them and has stuck them everywhere!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there! This post is a little late, but I just wanted to say that being a mom is the most wonderful experience I have ever had in my entire life! I don't think I could love anything more than my two boys. They make me laugh and cry all in one day. We have so much fun together and I have been so very fortunate to be able to stay home with them the past two years. This Mother's Day we went to my Granny's house to eat lunch and spend some time with her. Then we went to my Maw Maw's to visit with her and some other members of our extended family. It is always nice to see my aunts and uncles and cousins with their kids.

This is my uncle Richard and Ben. He is my mom's only brother and an angel. I have wanted to post about him for a while. When my mom was going to the doctor to get her antibiotics or to the orthopedic doctor, my uncle Richard drove from Buford to take her to her appointments. I just want to thank him very much for doing this. I would take her some too, but it was just a little much some days with Jake and Ben. I can't believe Ben let him hold him for so long. He wouldn't go to anyone else that day.

Jake and Dylan (my cousin Candice's son) They are only a couple of months apart and love playing together when we do get to get together.

4-Wheelin

After visiting with my grandmothers on Mother's Day, we headed back to my parent's house for Jake and Ben's to do some 4 wheelin. A man that works with my dad was having a yard sale and gave my dad some things he was going to sell. He gave my dad this adorable motorized Jeep. It wasn't working so my dad took it to this place to have it repaired. Well, something had been recalled on it, so the man repaired it for free! Jake and Ben had a great time riding it. Check out the video below too! Now I can say that both my kids and I have driven a Jeep!

If you click on this picture and the one below, you can see Ben with his hand up at his ear. There is a pretend CB radio in the Jeep and he talked on it continuously as if it were a phone. It was hilarious!
